Under the same sky...

I was watching an old movie(2004) called Hotel Rwanda today. It is based on a true story about a person who saves the few hundred people he could shelter in his hotel at the time when almost a million people were killed within three months in Rwanda in the 90's due to a civil war. It was a shocking movie to say the least. In one of the scenes where the hero thinks that he's driving through a bumpy road in a hazy dawn, he actually happens to be driving through a road with dead bodies thrown all over like some dirt. It was spine chilling movie.

Outside, the sky was clear. For how long i don't know. Somewhere else i know people are fighting, in wars. For what? Sometimes I'm not so sure. Right now i remember one of my favorite tunes by the band scorpions - under the same sun.

...Sometimes I think I'm going mad
We're loosing all we had and no one seems to care
But in my heart it doesn't change
We've got to rearrange and bring our world some love
And does it really matter
If there's a heaven up above
We sure could use some love
'cause we all live under the same sun
We all walk under the same moon
Then why, why can't we live as one
'cause we all live under the same sky
We all look up at the same stars
Then why, tell me why can't we live as one....

I remember when I was a child we went to the Gettysburg battle site. Even as a child I found it chilling, thinking about people killing each other there.

Some words in your post nearly made we cry. Because, the words drew pictures on my mind. Images of some harrowing experiences.

Very touching words.

God bless.
